Sciatica

Here at Health in Motion we have a wealth of experience managing lower back pain and the associated symptoms, one of which is particularly noteworthy and referred to as Sciatica. True Sciatica refers to the irritation of the Sciatic nerve which passes from your lower back right down to your toes but in the medical community, many refer to any leg pain with associated lower back pain as Sciatica these days.

Our Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and Chiropractor are all very well equipped to diagnose, treat and manage your Sciatica symptoms. Initially, the assessment phase will aim to determine the root cause of the painful radiations as this will determine the relevant treatment and management advice.

Should stronger medication be required to help your symptoms management, we can prescribe these from our clinic to speed up the process. In rare occurrences your symptoms may require further investigation by an orthopaedic consultant but to ensure best practice throughout, we have a list of recommended consultants locally who we liaise with and help you manage the process from diagnosis back to treatment and finally through rehabilitation.
